Français langue seconde
FLS and DELF classes are offered in Morristown.
PVF began offering « FLS » (French as a Second Language) classes in September 2009. The objective of these classes is to create a personal contact with the French language and francophone cultures in order to enhance the knowledge and love for learning in French.
These classes are offered to students who wish to speak French more fluently and acquire a richer vocabulary. The teacher concentrates on the difficult nuances of the language and its pronunciation. In adapting to the needs of the children in each class, the teacher offers lessons and exercises in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
From
September 2011, PVF will offer continuity, validation and recognition
for the progress made by children in the FLS program through preparation
for DELF certification in the "DELF prim" and "DELF junior" classes.
In June 2011, 3 of PVF's students took the DELF junior B1 exam, all 3
earned a good pass.
DELF is a methodology designed specifically for individuals learning French as a foreign language. It offers a progressive ladder of evaluations and special diplomas that help motivate children during their early years learning French as a second language. DELF tests and diplomas also provide parents with regular benchmarks of their children's level of mastery of the French language.
